About Miz B

Back in July 2011, I opened a Blogger blog and started my blogging journey.

What was meant to be a form of advertising for my direct sales business at that particular time, ended up becoming a full time business of its own.

In November of 2011, I moved from Blogger to Wordpress (self hosted, of course!) and started the business journey.

In March of 2012, we rebranded. Life as Leels was born as a lifestyle blog which I later found to be too big of a niche for me.

In January of 2015, I started a secondary blog - a parenting blog, Experiencing Parenthood.

Unfortunately, I found that to be too narrow and specific of a niche which left me feeling lost and out of touch.

I shifted between the two blogs (and opened a third strictly for my book reviews - Leels Loves Books).

In June of 2017, I left my "home life" to start working in the full time arena which left me not only struggling with where to write, but when to write!

It was as of recent that I have decided to take a step back from having a blog as a business (something I have had for over 6 years) and down grade my blog to a hobby.

Since my time is limited, I decided to eliminate everything (and am in the process of deleting social media accounts and emails) to only have one "name" on social media. Now, you can find us at mizbrenner on all social media as we work on transferring content into one location.

Who Am I?

My name is Leila (LEE-la) or Miz Brenner (I will totally share this story soon!)

I was born and raised in Minnesota, moved to Wisconsin for three months (where I swear to you it is colder there than in Minnesota), went back home to Minnesota for 10 days, packed up my car with my best friend and the time and drove to Arizona in March of 2013, where I have been ever since.

I met and started dating my now husband in December of 2013.

We married in August of 2005, and have three kiddos - K, age 11; B, age 9, who also has special needs; and A, age 4.

B has severe anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and is at risk for Autism.

On top of that, I suffer from anxiety and depression.

We also have furbabies - a pit bull mix, Jessie, and two cats, Stinker and Jax.

I have 23 years experience working with atypical and special needs children personally, professionally, and educationally.

My biggest goal is to share my story so parents don't have to feel alone on this journey of parenting.

What you can find here:

* Facebook lives - I really do hope to do more live videos to chat with everyone!
* Videos - I want more videos on YouTube
* Parenting tips, resources, and ideas to help us all out with parenting
* Things to keep the kids busy
* Things to make you laugh

I really look forward to continuing my blogging journey. While it may not be my business any longer (yes, it was an income earner for me) I am still happy to do it as a hobby because I have found there to be nothing more enjoyable than sharing with you all!

Much love and chat soon! xo
Miz B
